Take a day trip by train to the historic port city of Liverpool, a vibrant place of culture and heritage and a must-see destination for music lovers and football fans from all over the world.
Depart from Euston Station at 8am, and head to the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront on your arrival at Lime Street Station. Make sure to check out the Royal Liver Building, the tallest building in Europe at the time of its construction in 1911, before arriving at Albert Dock.
Brimming with museums, galleries, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants, the Dock was transformed in the 1980s but still retains the largest collection of Grade l listed buildings in the country.

The 2-hour tour finishes at the legendary Cavern Club, where the resident musicians will no doubt be playing some familiar tunes. Your train back to London doesn’t leave until 6:47pm, so there’s still plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere before returning to your original departure point.
Your day starts with a relaxing train journey to the historic city of Liverpool, European Capital of Culture in 2008. Arriving at Liverpool Lime Street, you'll have time to explore this Victorian city, perhaps taking a stroll along the stunningly refurbished Albert Dock Complex housing the Merseyside Maritime Museum and Tate Liverpool art gallery.
Your tour includes entry to the Beatles Story, where you can re-live the Fab Four's meteoric rise to fame. Your visit takes you from the cobbles of Matthew Street and the Cavern, through the hysteria of Beatlemania to the final live performance on the Apple rooftop and beyond!
The Cavern Quarter is a vibrant city center area and the focus of Beatle history. There's the famous Cavern Club, where the lads played 292 times, and the pubs where they drank during the early 1960s.

Day 1: Liverpool

Finally make you way back to Lime Street Station for the train back to London, arriving at approximately 9.15pm. (Please note the Liverpool tour is unescorted).

Day 2: London

The Beatles developed their craft at the iconic Abbey Road recording studio as well as making TV, radio and live performances and socialising at the many swinging hotspots where exclusive clubs and 'happenings' were the places to be seen.
The city provides the backdrop for all the LP covers from the first to the last; the locations for 'Hard Day's Night', 'Help' and 'Magical Mystery Tour'; even the 'Penny Lane' promotional film was largely shot in London locations.
