A no-nonsense pub with basic pub grub

The Old Green Tree is a comfy an 18C English tavern as you will every find, with three tiny oak-paneled rooms and a friendly bar staff.

From the taps flow their own slightly fruity Old Green Three Ale (from Blindman's Brewery) alongside eight or nine ofther draughts, usually including Butcombe Bitter, Pitchfork, a cider or two, and various other craft beers from the region (plus Czech Budvar).

The food is inexpensive and pretty decent, with daily specials of fish and chips, burgers, meat pies, ploughmans, bangers and mash with onion gravy, rare roast beef, sandwiches (e.g. brie and bacon), and soups (spiced carrot and lentil, plum tomato and basil, sweet potato).
