A pioneering City pub serving nouvelle pub grub

The Eagle—specliaizing in Mediterranean-style dishes and nouveau British comfort food—pioneered the concept of a-pub-with-edible-food in 1991—though the staff can be a bit snooty about it.

The pub is shabby chic, all mismatched chairs and cutlery, btu the more authentic for it.

The food, cooked right there at the bar, is delectable, changing with the seasons and whatever's fresh at the market.
