Oxford student housing and dorms where tourists can stay

As you might imagine, in a city famous for its colleges there is plenty of university dorm housing to go around for tourists as well...

So long as you are visiting outside the academic term, that is (generally late June through September).

From Christ Church to Brasenose, Magdalen to Merton—and 34 other Oxford colleges as well—when the students are away the dorms are made available to visitors.

Price ranges:

  • Single room: £34–£95 (most are in the £60–£70 range)
  • Double room: £96–£128

For much more on this phenomenon, check out our page on university dorm housing below.

You can go to each college's website and find its section on B&B housing for visitors (they each hide it under varying menus, but its usually not too hard to find).

If you are just looking for a shortcut to booking Oxford college dorms, this website is a good one-stop place to shop: Universityrooms.com.
