A pub restaurant in a riverside stone mill from the early 1800s

This 18C stone buildling by the river is a great place to grab a cheap lunch in Salisbury: There's a lunch club menu weekdays before 4pm that gets you a sandwich (or loaded backed potato), side, and a drink for just £7.29.

There is, of course, a full menu of pub classics—burgers, pies, fish and chips—along with a traditional Sunday roast. the food is fine, if uninspired, and service, while friendly, isn't always the swiftest.

However, the setting is well worth it if you snag an outside table with views over the grassy lawn and river.
