Rue Saint Jacques Guest House B&B ★★☆
Perhaps the nicest B&B in London—though not the most central (in Hammersmith and Fulham)
This is the preitteist B&B in London, located in a Victorian building in the rapidly gentrifying West Brompton/Fulham neighborhod just southwest of Chelsea.
All four rooms have private bathrooms, TV, tea and coffee-maker, and WiFi.
"La Dolce Vita"—the room on the first floor—can sleep up to four people, and has a queen-sized "Gautier" french bed.
The second floor has a twin-bedded room and a double with Lit Bateau queen-sized bed.
The third floor is a large loft with a queen-sized bed and skylights.
The friendly owner is an Italian who lived in France (hence the odd mingling of French and Italian phrases and names here), and has a few quirky rules, like taking off your shoes before going upstairs (pack slippers). But that only reinforces the feel that you are staying in a private home, not a soulless hotel.Book it
