The cozy flat in this Georgian building across from the south side of Bath Abbey comes complete with a stunning view of the abbey from the kitchen windows—and a view over the lovely tree-shaded square out the large windows on the front.

It's a comfortable, not immaculate, place, with a slightly creaky by romantic canopy bed and nice (if a bit threadbare) furnishings—in short, very homey, as if you were staying at your British auntie's. (Though perhaps auntie should look into upgrading the water pressure in the shower.)

Speaking of which, the hostess, Laura, greets most guests bearing pastries, biscuits (cookies), tea, coffee, and and milk to see you through your first morning.

The WiFi is free, there is a washer/dryer, and you can get a permit to park right here in the center (tricky to navigate, but this is a real boon to drivers).

Given the location, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants within steps of the front door.

The flat sleeps three.

If this apartment is booked, Flat 1 in the same building is also for rent as "Crystal Palace Apartment."
